Symposium 'Climate Research meets HPC Experts'

On Friday, September 18, the symposium 'Climate Research meets HPC Experts' was held at Hotel NH Tropen in Amsterdam. The symposium was organized by IBM, NCF and SARA.

The aim of the symposium was to exchange knowledge of future climate models and the use of petaflop systems in this respect. The topics reflected the major challenges for climate research.
