Four PRACE projects granted access to supercomputer Huygens
The Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe (PRACE) aims, among others, to test prototypes to support decisions with respect to the installation of future Petascale HPC systems in Europe.
For some time now, some PRACE partners have prototypes available to allow users to prepare their applications for use on future Petaflops systems. In this context, the national supercomputer Huygens is one of the prototypes.
Recently, six European projects have been granted access to jointly use 4,449,713 core hours on the PRACE systems. Four projects, respectively of Damien Thompson, Edouard Audit, Jim Greer and Gary McGuire, will be using the national supercomputer Huygens.
More information can be found on the PRACE website.
