Note:

The entrance in front of the SARA datacenter is only for pedestrians and cyclists, and for emergency services in case of calamities. Therefore we advise to use the entrance at the Carolina MacGillavrylaan.
Since March 2011, the SARA offices are located at Science Park 140 (building Matrix I).

1. Navigation systems

Using a navigation system? The new street name "Science Park" is not yet implemented in some systems. You can use instead "Kruislaan 419" (the old address of Science Park 140) or "Kruislaan 415" (the old address of the SARA datacenter).

2. Cars

Take the ring-road Amsterdam (A10) Exit "Watergraafsmeer/S113". Follow the signs "Science Park". On the Middenweg at Kruislaan go right. After the railroad tunnel the name of this road is Science Park. Follow the signs.

Parking for visitors and suppliers

Science Park Amsterdam has introduced a policy of overall paid parking.

  • Visitors and suppliers of goods are required to take a ticket upon entering the car park. This ticket is valid during 1 hour. This means that entry and exit are free for a stay of up to 1 hour.
  • Visitors can receive an exit card and can raise the barrier by presenting the card at the exit terminal. Exit cards are available at the SARA reception desk.
  • Suppliers are permitted a stay of up to 1 hour free of charge. If they require longer than 1 hour, they can obtain an exit card at the reception desk.

Parking charges for third parties: € 2.40 per hour.
Payment is charged per 5 minutes. (This is the fee charged by Watergraafsmeer local authority). Maximum charge for one day is € 17.20.

3. Trucks/busses higher than 3,35 m

Take the ring-road Amsterdam (A10) Exit "Zeeburg/S114". Follow Zuiderzeeweg, Flevoweg, Insulindeweg, Molukkenstraat, Mac Gillavrylaan.

4. By taxi

There are taxi stops near the railway stations, or you can order one by telephone (020) 677 7777. From Amsterdam Central Station, it takes about 15 minutes to get to Science Park Amsterdam by taxi.

5. Public Transport

New railway station: Amsterdam Science Park
In December 2009 station Amsterdam Science Park was put into service. The trains (sprinters) have a frequency of two times per hour from Almere Oostvaarders to Amsterdam Central and vice versa. Travel time by train from station Amsterdam Science Park is 10 minutes to Amsterdam Central, 35 minutes to Almere Oostvaarders and about 35 minutes to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

Other possibilities:

  • From train station Amsterdam-Amstel or Muiderpoort station:
    Take bus 40 to Science Park Amsterdam (formerly WTCW). Bus 40 connects the Amstel station with the Muiderpoort station.
  • From Amsterdam Central station:
    Take a local train to Amsterdam Science Park.
  • From Amsterdam Airport (Schiphol):
    Take a (frequent) train to Amsterdam Central station and from there take a local train to Amsterdam Science Park.
